Stories from the ESOL Team
Ahmad arrived from Afghanistan in April 2022 and wanted to improve his English to help his integration and prospects in the UK. Angela has been supporting him and his family with ESOL classes.
“Really appreciate English classes. Thank you to Angela and RMC. Also, we receive some other services from RMC when we come here. We did not know how to go to doctor and the team here help me and my family to register at GP. Now we can go to doctor when we are sick and I really appreciate everyone’s help. It has been really good for me to come here.”
RMC’s drop-in class has been running for many years now. Hania is just one example of the huge difference learning English can make.
Other useful websites for learning English
Can’t make it to a class in person? You can take a look at a number of free online classes we have created on our Youtube Channel!
Alternatively, these websites focus on different areas of English, so students can use them to practise outside class. Access to all the sites is free, and students do not need to subscribe.
