The boring answer? We are one of the largest organisations of our kind, supporting almost 14,000 people in 2019 with a wide range of needs. Our impact runs through the community and was recognised in several of the awards we have won in recent years.
The big reason? Most importantly because we focus on the people. Our doors are open. We work with individuals and families at their whole situation to not only fix the immediate issues, but to build them and give them the best chance to thrive. Our team is diverse, with many people having once used the service that they now provide to others.
You can see some examples of the impact we have had below.
For those in the most vulnerable situations, our destitution fund is there for when people arrive at our door in crisis. This can be mothers with children just made homeless, domestic abuse victims, refused asylum seekers stuck in the immigration system, and anyone else that is struggling.
If you wish to donate items but are not sure what. Gift cards are the perfect way to support us. These can be given to individuals or families to go out and get the items they require.
They also allow us to be flexible with what we need, making sure nothing goes to waste.
You can post these to us or send them to Emma@rmcentre.org.uk
