HR Manager

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. As we continue to grow to meet our
aspirations, RMC are seeking a forward-thinking candidate who will be responsible for ensuring an excellent human resources service to the organisation.

Salary scale: £34,000 – £37,000 depending on experience & qualifications.
(Pension scheme and other employee welfare
benefits apply.)

Location: Wolverhampton (headquarters), Birmingham,
Walsall.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week

Reporting to: CEO & Deputy CEO

Annual leave:  24 days

Probation period: 6 months

The role will include advice on complex employment matters, effective employee relations, recruitment, policies and
procedures and ensuring that fair and consistent practices are followed in relation to all employment matters

Advisor

We are recruiting new advisors with community languages to join our team. This role focuses on providing advice, advocacy and support to service users with various aspects related to their welfare. Being fluent in at least one of these community languages – Amharic, Tigrinya, Polish, Russian, Lithuanian, Mandarin, Cantonese is an essential requirement. 

Salary scale: £18,500 – £21,500 (dependent on experience and variety of languages)

Contract: 12 months with possibility of extension

Location: RMC’s offices in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Walsall – working across branches may be a requirement. 

Hours: 35 (full time)

Reporting to:  Casework Team Managers

Probation period: 6 months

Training will be provided for successful applicants, so experience of providing advice to asylum seekers, refugees, and vulnerable migrants is not essential, but is desirable. You will need to have good communication skills and be able to present often complex information clearly to clients.

OISC Level 1 Caseworker

We are recruiting qualified OISC Caseworkers to join our team. This role focuses on providing RMC clients with advice and support related to their immigration cases.

Salary scale: £22,500-£24,000 (dependent on the length of experience and ability to supervise other OISC-regulated colleagues)

Contract: 12 months with possibility of extension

Location: This role will mainly be based in our Walsall office but maybe asked to work in our other 2 branches in Wolverhampton & Birmingham

Hours: 35 (full time)

Reporting to:  Casework team managers

Responsible for: Designated caseworkers

Probation period: 6 months

Important Note: Being regulated by the Office of Immigration Services commission (OISC) Level 1 is an essential requirement. (If you are regulated at a higher level of OISC, please get in touch as different employment terms may apply)

The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate complex information clearly to distressed clients and have a high standard of communication skills, including written, oral, presentational and inter-personal skills

Trustee Vacancies

RMC is seeking to appoint experienced people to join our Board of Trustees.

For these non-remunerated, voluntary roles we would ask that you dedicate time to attend 7-8 board meetings annually. The ideal candidates would understand charity boards and governance and be sympathetic to our ethos and values. 

The key officers’ roles within the board are currently filled but vacancies for these roles may arise in the future.
