Head of Fundraising  

We are seeking to recruit an experienced fundraiser to lead on our fundraising. This role will be part of RMC’s senior management and will be a vital role within the organisation. This brand new role will help share RMC’s fundraising strategy and make a positive impact on the lives of refugees and migrants.

Salary scale: £43,000 – £49,000 (depending on experience & track record) + contributory pension scheme 

Contract: Permanent with 6 months’ probation 

 

Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week). Hybrid working with flexible hours. A 4 day or compressed week may be considered. 

Reporting to:  CEO / Deputy CEO  

Location: Birmingham & the Black Country (hybrid working)  

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop a sustainable fundraising strategy to underpin RMC’s strategic plans and deliver its goals working with the Senior Management Team. The strategy should aim to accelerate income growth in a sustainable manner, exploiting both a wide range of existing fundraising sources and new income opportunities.   
  • Increase fundraising across the mix of income streams, including trusts and foundations, private donors, corporate funders and statutory agencies. For this purpose, you will take the lead in writing and submitting high quality applications to a range of funders, and you will oversee fundraising events and appeals, including individual giving and legacy opportunities. You will need to ensure compliance with best practice in fundraising including use of data and confidentiality. 
  • Create cohesive fundraising marketing and communications to support RMC’s wider Marketing & Communications strategy developing compelling communications targeted at different audiences.  
  • Ensure effective measurement & evaluation, working with the Senior Management Team so that RMC’s impact measures are robust and can be effectively reported to funders.  
  • Contribute to RMC’s overall strategic direction as an active member of the Senior Management Team and ensure that RMC’s fundraising efforts remain consistent with the charity’s strategic goals.

Housing & Homelessness Manager

We are seeking someone with Housing management experience to join the RMC team at a management level. This role is essential for the day-to-day management of our Housing & Homelessness services and in particular, the delivery of front-line services.

Salary scale: £30,000 to £33,000 depending on experience

Contract: Permanent with six months’ probation 

Location: RMC’s Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Walsall offices

Hours: 35 hours per week

Reporting to:  Head of Services 

Overview of post:

  • To support and manage the staff team delivering housing & homelessness services to ensure the most effective service is delivered to our clients.  
  • To ensure the service adheres to RMC’s Quality Standards and meets contractual and internal performance targets 
  • To support the integration of volunteers in the service, offering input to their recruitment, training, management and organisation. 
  • To assist in the marketing and promotion of the service 
  • To ensure the service is professional, impartial, pragmatic and focused on getting the best outcomes possible for our clients.   
  • To develop RMC’s Housing & Homelessness work to the next level looking at ways to support clients after initial crisis period.

Caseworker- OISC-regulated Level 1, 2 or 3

We are recruiting qualified OISC Caseworkers to join our team. This role focuses on providing RMC clients with advice and support related to their immigration cases.

Salary scale: Dependent on current OISC level and experience

OISC Level 1 – £23,000 – £25,000

OISC Level 2 – £25,000 – £27,000

OISC Level 3 – £29,000 – £31-000

Contract: 12 months with possibility of extension

 

Hours: 35 (full time)

Reporting to:  Casework team managers

Responsible for: Designated advisors and/or volunteers

Probation period: 6 months

Location: RMC’s offices in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Walsall – working across branches may be a requirement

Important Note: Being regulated by the Office of Immigration Services commission (OISC) is an essential requirement.

All Caseworkers (Levels 1,2 and 3) will be required to carry out the tasks shown below. The skill level to progress from one level to the next level is also detailed below.

  • To provide professional and effective OISC regulated casework as well as advice, guidance and support to a broad range of RMC’s service users.
  • To assist/support the team and the management to meet the needs of the beneficiaries and achieve targets.
  • To support and supervise colleagues on a lower level of OISC regulation and designated volunteers.
  • To deliver presentations and represent RMC at meetings/events when required by management.
  • To take responsibility of projects related to the job
