Senior Administrator/Executive Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrator/Executive Assistant to join a forward-thinking and vibrant regional charity, which delivers broad support to refugees and migrants across the Black Country and Birmingham.

Salary scale: £24-26k (depending on skills and experience)

Location: Birmingham and/or Wolverhampton

Contract: 2 years

Hours: 35 hours per week

Responsible for:  Co-ordinating admin staff in all sites

Probation period: 6 months

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Administrator/Executive Assistant who is able to manage and coordinate a busy environment with several sites, in relation to administrative duties, as well as providing high-quality support to the senior management team.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of IT and Office Management. The post holder must be able to plan and prioritise a varied workload, exercising appropriate judgement and responding promptly and appropriately to all enquiries.  The post holder will be required to handle information of a confidential nature and must observe the highest standards of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.  They will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with Senior Management, staff and external stakeholders.

Advisor

We are looking for someone who can provide professional and effective advice and guidance to a broad range of service users of RMC. There are several posts available across our three sites, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Walsall. Training will be provided to successful candidates, but one or more of the following community languages is essential: Farsi, Dari, Pashto, French, Amharic, Tigrinya, Polish, Russian, Lithuanian, Punjabi, Urdu, Mandarin & Cantonese

Salary scale: £18.5k – £21.5k (dependent on experience and variety of languages)

Location: RMC’s offices in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Walsall – working across branches may be a requirement. 

Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extension

Hours: 35 (full time)

Reporting to:  Casework team managers

Probation period: 6 months

This role is for someone to support RMC’s clients with various aspects related to their welfare. A high standard of communication skills is essential as well as a commitment to equality and diversity. Previous experience of providing advice to asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants is not required but is desirable as training will also be given. Plus there will be opportunities to work towards becoming OISC qualified.

Caseworker- OISC-regulated Level 1

We are looking for qualified caseworkers who can provide professional and effective OISC regulated casework as well as advice, guidance and support to a broad range of RMC’s service users. There are several posts available across our three sites, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Walsall. Those with higher levels of OISC are encouraged to get in touch as different terms may apply to those below.

Salary scale: £22.5k – £24k (dependent on length of experience and ability to supervise other OISC-regulated colleagues)

Location: RMC’s offices in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Walsall – working across branches may be a requirement. 

Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extension

Hours: 35 (full time)

Reporting to:  Casework team managers

Responsible for:  Designated advisors

Probation period: 6 months

This role is for someone to support RMC’s clients with OISC regulated casework as well as supervising and/or managing colleagues on a lower level of OISC-regulation and designated volunteers. A high standard of communication skills is essential as well as a commitment to equality and diversity.

Trustee Vacancies

RMC is seeking to appoint experienced people to join our Board of Trustees.

For these non-remunerated, voluntary roles we would ask that you dedicate time to attend 7-8 board meetings annually. The ideal candidates would understand charity boards and governance and be sympathetic to our ethos and values. 

The key officers’ roles within the board are currently filled but vacancies for these roles may arise in the future.
