This valentine’s, show your support for refugees and support local charities with one simple ask.
The campaign
Join the growing campaign as part of Together With Refugees and share the love this valentines by sending a card and raising awareness.
To boost this even further, if you buy a card through Make a Difference Cards, you will also be making a donation to the Refugee and Migrant Centre(RMC) and helping provide wide ranging support to new arrivals across Birmingham and the Blackcountry.
You can send the card to a loved one, or if you would like the card given to a local refugee, you can send it to the RMC office to be distributed.
Together With Refugees campaign
Together With Refugees have launched a new campaign – Fair Begins Here.
The Fair Begins Here campaign is calling for a fair new plan for refugees with:
- Protection for people fleeing war and persecution by upholding the UK’s commitment under international law to the right to claim asylum and by scrapping the Rwanda scheme.
- A proper strategy for welcoming refugees by ensuring fair, rapid decisions on their application for asylum, and the chance to rebuild their lives through settling in a community, being allowed to work and the chance to learn English.
- Stronger global cooperation to tackle the root causes that force people to flee their homes and provides positive solutions when they do, including through safe routes to refugee protection.
Gift a card
There are a few ways you can gift a card:
- Send a charity Valentine’s Day Card or E-card to one of our refugee clients by simply emailing it to funding@rmcentre.org.uk or posting it to one of our offices in Birmingham, Wolverhampton, or Walsall. Our postal address can be found here.
- Or buy a Valentine’s Day Card for your loved one from Make a Difference cards and provide a small donation to RMC
