A Syrian couple have successfully opened their new clothes shop in the centre of Wolverhampton.
Ahmad and Ghousoun came to the UK with their children via the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS) after fleeing their home in Syria.
Previously, Ahmad was working as a tailor, running his own successful business in Syria. Upon arrival in the UK he was keen to continue this success and his wife Ghousoun was eager to be involved in the venture. After two years of hard work, studying English, and completing business courses with MiFriendly Cities, they have now fulfilled their dream of opening a shop. They were supported with this by MiFriendly Cities after successfully pitching their business to a panel of experts.
The two businesses; Your Elegance and My Angel, are located at 20 Broad Street, Wolverhampton. Here, you can find a range of fashionable clothes and incredible dresses. They also offer dress making, alterations and an ironing service. It’s well worth a visit!
