Mayoral visits in Walsall

RMC in Walsall

Since 2017 RMC has been working in Walsall, with our service expanding each year with 2452 clients and their families supported in 2022/23.

Starting out as a base to deliver the Syrian Resettlement project, it quickly became apparent that there was a demand for more support in the community.

RMC then opened our drop in in Walsall before moving to our new, larger centre in 2020 to meet the ever growing demand.

Mayor’s parlour

We have been able to do this work thanks to Walsall Council and we were delighted to be invited on the 20th September 2023 to the Mayors parlour to share more about our work and to see how we can continue to make a difference in the community.

A number of the RMC team attended, with the Mayor and his team providing insight into the history of Walsall and our team sharing stories of those we support and how they have settled into life in the place they now call home.

Mayors visit to RMC

Following on from the Walsall teams visit to the Mayors Parlour, the Mayor and Mayoress visited the Walsall RMC centre on the 10th October, to find out more about the work we do.

They were astounded by the breadth of work we do, and heard about how we help clients in so many ways, including immigration, housing, welfare, health and education, naming just a few.

We can see how much you’re needed in Walsall and how important in person support is. You are doing wonderful work thank you, and keep it up.
