Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS)

The Syrian Resettlement Scheme was first announced in January 2014 and in September 2015 the expansion to 20,000 refugees was made across the UK. RMC has supported over 120 individuals on the programme.

Khaled’s Story

Escaping war and persecution in his homeland, having just completed his law degree, Khaled Al Hussein, from Syria arrived in the UK in June 2017 with his family seeking sanctuary. His journey has come a long way since then.
