Digital Skills
Supporting individuals to become more independent by learning how to use apps and online services, with a particular focus on the NHS App
Who can get help
Any refugee, asylum seeker or migrant
Support provided
Support is provided through both group, and one on one support to upskill people and run through how to use key apps such as the NHS app and systems such as accessing eVisas.Â
Impact
40 people across Wolverhampton and Dudley have been helped to improve their basic digital skills (as of end of June 2025)
As a result, participants can now confidently order repeat prescriptions and check test results online. We have also provided support with accessing eVisas. Many participants were previously unaware of how to generate share codes, which are essential for proving their right to work, study, claim benefits, or rent accommodation. Our students now have both the ability and confidence to do this independently, reducing their reliance on others and improving their overall autonomy.
