Boosting Advice Project

The project, funded by Independent Age, aims to empower our beneficiaries over 65, giving them the tools and guidance to maximise their income and live independently. 

Who can get help

Any refugee or migrant over the age of 65, living in Walsall or Wolverhampton.

Support provided

  • Advice on immigration issues causing risk of destitution
  • Emergency destitution support, including access to grants
  • Benefit eligibility checks
  • Support applying for eligible benefits
  • Cost-saving advice, including energy advice, applications for bus passes, blue badges and NHS cost-reduction initiatives

How to access the support:

This service can be accessed by the RMC drop-in service at the Wolverhampton and Walsall Centres
