Birmingham Sanctuary Hub

The Birmingham Sanctuary Hub will create a welcoming, multi-channel service providing holistic support to sanctuary seekers, helping them settle, gain independence, and integrate into the local community.

Who is it for?

This support is available for sanctuary seekers in Birmingham.

Support provided

    • Local Orientation: Access to a “Welcome to Birmingham” pack and guidance on settling in.
    • Immigration: Assistance with applications for leave to remain and other immigration matters.
    • Housing: Guidance on securing safe accommodations, including actively exploring options to secure long term housing
    • Employment: Help accessing courses and signposting to career advice services.
    • Education: Guidance on children & adult education, including ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
    • Health and Wellbeing: Support with registering for core NHS services.
    • Financial Independence: Eligibility advice and help applying for welfare benefits.

How to access the support:

In person drop in service

Visit our Birmingham Centre in person to speak to an advisor.

The service is provided Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings

The service is provided Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 9:00 – 17:00
