The Birmingham Sanctuary Hub will create a welcoming, multi-channel service providing holistic support to sanctuary seekers, helping them settle, gain independence, and integrate into the local community.

Move on Project Walsall

The Former Asylum Seeker or New Refugee Move-On Service is designed to assist individuals in Walsall who have recently received a positive Home Office decision. Our aim is to help newly granted refugees and former unaccompanied asylum-seeking children transition smoothly into mainstream services, secure housing, and integrate into the local community.

Voices Unlocked

Spotlighting the challenges refugees and migrants face as they adapt to living in the UK with the added task of studying English, emphasising the crucial role literacy has in daily life – often overlooked by native English speakers.

Building Foundations

Abed and Babk arrived in the UK, having supported the British Army as part of the Special Forces in Afghanistan. The support provided from the ESOL team at RMC transformed their lives and help break down many barriers to their integration.

Hanias story

Hania has been attending ESOL classes for a few years, and when she arrived, she spoke little English. Within six months, she felt confident enough to go to the GP, the shops and anywhere else by herself and speak to people.
