Honorary degree for our founders

Mohamed Mustafa and Arten Llazari have been awarded Honorary Doctorates in Science by University of Wolverhampton in recognition of their work through their charity, the Refugee and Migrant Centre (RMC), and their dedication to supporting migrants by removing barriers to their integration.

Mohamed co-founded the RMC after leaving Iraq and settling in Wolverhampton with his family, while Arten is the Chief Executive Officer of the RMC, having arrived in the UK from Albania in 1999.

Mohamed is an alumni of the university with a Higher National Diploma in Building Studies and a degree in Civil Engineering, while Arten has a humanities degree and is fluent in several languages.
