Black Country Futures

RMC is part of a new partnership of charity and third sector organisations delivering a new project called Black Country Futures, which is funded by The National Lottery Community fund.

The aim of the Black Country Futures (BCF) project is to support people aged 16 years old and over, and although all-inclusive, will prioritise support to the most disadvantaged and most isolated Black Country residents including:

  • Those who are aged 50 years old and over
  • BAME
  • Refugees and migrants
  • People with mental and physical health issues including hearing and visual impairments
  • Lone parents
  • Long term unemployed
  • Ex -Offenders
  • Care Leavers
  • People at risk of redundancy
  • People on zero -hour contracts
  • People who are unable to access support elsewhere
  • People on low incomes who are at risk of fuel and food poverty.

As part of the project, RMC will be offering the following:

  • Carers’ advice and guidance
  • Improving Employability skills (how to Update a CV and apply for jobs etc.)
  • Support with applying for training courses and accessing college courses
  • Volunteering advice
  • Help with benefit applications
  • Digital Inclusion
  • ESOL classes
