Muqadsa joined the Refugee and Migrant Centre with a strong sense of purpose and a desire to make a meaningful difference. As a law student with a growing interest in immigration, she saw volunteering as a way to turn her empathy into action.
Robert’s Story

After many years teaching in China, Robert returned to the UK with lots of experience and a love for helping others learn. Adjusting back to life here was tough, but volunteering at the Refugee and Migrant Centre gave him a fresh start.
The importance of volunteering​

Sue has always loved helping others. After retiring from a school leadership role, she wanted to keep making a difference. With her passion for teaching and belief in helping people learn and grow, volunteering as an English teacher at RMC was the perfect next step.

Domestic Violence Project

We work to support female survivors of domestic violence and alleviate the pressures they face. The aim of the project is to streamline and strengthen support these women through coordinated, multi-agency intervention.

A pilot project working with partners to test if short-term accommodation helps people engage with immigration advice and resolve their status

The project aims to tackle digital exclusion by helping our beneficiaries access vital frontline services online, and supporting them to built digital skills.
Wider Determinants of Health

RMC is supporting asylum seekers, newly granted refugees, and undocumented individuals to settle and integrate in Wolverhampton. The focus is on helping them meet their basic needs including food, clothing, and shelter, while promoting dignity and stability
